Language (incl. dictionaries and teaching)

  • MONTENEGRIN LANGUAGE General information. Montenegrin language (Proposed Montenegrin spelling: Crnogorski jezik) is the name given to the Ijekavian-Štokavian dialect, spoken in Montenegro. Generally it is recognized as a variant of the Serbian language, but some Montenegrins refer to their specific dialect as a language on its own. As of 2007, there is an ongoing controversy on this issue.
